Founder Friday: Does this thing think I wash my hair every day? ๐คจ
I have a confession: I never really understood spa headbands. Maybe I just didn't grow up using them, but once skincare became a much bigger part of my routine (hello, 40s ๐ ), I finally gave them a try.
And almost immediately, I found myself wondering, "Do these things assume we all wash our hair every day?" Because...I definitely don't.

One of the main times I thought to grab a spa headband was for my facials. And if you've ever had a fresh silk press and heard the esthetician wheel over that facial steamer, you already know your hair is about to fight for its life. ๐ฉ๐ ๐ฝโ๏ธ
(I literally would have to plan my facials the day before a hair appointmentโผ๏ธ)

What I really wanted was something that could cover my hair like a satin scarf, with smooth satin touching my hair and absorbent microfiber on the outside keep the moisture away from my hair. That way, I could actually relax and enjoy my facial instead of mentally calculating how much my press was about to expand.
Then summer wash-and-go season reminded me that I had the exact opposite problem.

Wrapping it in a towel wasn't ideal because it could flatten my curls, bunch them together or tangle them back up. But walking around with water dripping down my shirtโand leaving a giant wet spot on my shirtโwasn't exactly ideal either.

That's when it hit me.
Why does a spa headband only work one way?
So we made one that works two ways.

The new Hairbrella 2-in-1 Satin Spa Headband features a plush microfiber side that absorbs moisture during cleansing, facials and wash days. Flip it over and the smooth stretch satin side helps protect your silk press, curls, edges and finished styles while you do your makeup, skincareโor yesโeven survive the facial steamer.
It's also ultra-wide and stretchy, so you can actually tuck all of your hair inside instead of leaving half of it hanging out.

One headband. Two completely different routines.

I created it for facials, skincare and wash days, but Iโve found myself reaching for it around the house too. It has basically become my robe hatโthe thing I throw on when I want my hair comfortably tucked away while Iโm getting ready, winding down or just moving around the house.

Sometimes you need toย absorb moisture. Sometimes youโre doing everything possible to keep moisture out. And sometimes you simply want your hair tucked away without disturbing it.
Now one headband can do all three.
I hope you love this one as much as I do.
With gratitude,
