Aaron's Tribute #TeamHairbrella

Hi Family,

I hope that you all are doing well!

Some of you may know that the Hairbrella team began with the help of my family and closest friends. One of them being my “little brother” - Aaron Hamilton - whom I’d known since we were kids in church.

He passed away suddenly last month from cancer and while my heart is completely broken, I couldn’t let this time pass without sharing with you the impact that Aaron has had on me and Hairbrella.

Aaron was one of the most talented guys I’ve ever known - a true genius at graphic design, photography, videography and music production. In 2013, I shared my vision for an emoji app (Eboticon) with him and he jumped on it - creating all the branding and graphic design.

In 2016, I showed him the original Hairbrella, afraid he’d think it was a funny looking hat. He was so excited! Not only did he want to work on it, but he had a vision to shoot and brand it in a way that was even beyond my vision at the time. Over the past few years, Aaron shot countless photo and video campaigns, even producing the music for many of them!

While I could go on and on about his talent and amazing contribution to Hairbrella, he was even more of an amazing friend and brother. Always a joy to be around, always incredibly kind and encouraging, and truly someone that believed in me and in so many others that he helped to bring their visions to life.

I am so grateful for the time we had and for the gift he was to me and the Hairbrella team. In many ways, our relationship and creative synergy (at times we could literally read each other’s minds) was evidence that we were all destined for this path.

Rest well, Aaron and thank you for everything. We’ll take it from here and promise to make you proud. <3

Rain or Shine,
Tracey

PS - I’ve compiled some of Aaron’s work on this page and some BTS from our shoots. Believe it or not, the Hairbrella is probably one of the most difficult products to shoot - creating rain both inside and outside (we launched during the 2016 Georgia drought). But we made it work and had a blast doing it!
